The SNLE: blueprint, pass mark, eligibility and attempts
The Saudi Nursing Licensure Examination assesses your readiness to practise and to move on to postgraduate study. This page gathers what you need before applying; each detail has a page of its own.
The short answers
- How many questions? 200, in two parts of 120 minutes each. Exam format
- What score do I need? 500 on a 200–800 scale. Passing score and results
- What does it cover? Four sections at stated weights: adult 40%, maternal-child 30%, fundamentals 20%, management and leadership 10%. The blueprint
- Who can apply? Holders of a BSN or equivalent, those who have started internship, and students one year from graduating. Eligibility and registration
- How many attempts? Four a year until you pass. Attempts and retakes

The section almost everyone skips
Nursing management and leadership is a tenth of the paper, roughly 20 questions, and most preparation material passes over it because it is not a clinical specialty with an obvious bank behind it. It is set out on the blueprint page.
